Your two night mini cruise begins in North Shields where you set sail bound for Ijmuiden, near Amsterdam. Enjoy your pre-booked complimentary buffet dinner before exploring the entertainment options on-board. The ship has a lively atmosphere and there's always something to see or do in the evening.
The following morning the ship will dock at Ijmuiden, a short distance from Amsterdam. Return coach transfers are included which will whisk you to Amsterdam city centre and back again. You'll have up to 5 hours to spend exploring this vibrant city on your own. It's up to you how you spend this time and Amsterdam really does have something for everyone.
Set sail that evening bound for Newcastle. Your evening buffet meal is once again included in the fare and you'll have another opportunity to enjoy the evening entertainment on offer.
During the booking process, you'll be asked to pre-book a time for dinner in the Explorers Kitchen, with time slots running from 6pm to 8.30pm ship's time. You can optionally add breakfast onto your reservation for £8.75 a head, or you can grab a bite to eat back on land or in the on-board café.
The coach transfers between Ijmuiden and Amsterdam are £7 per person each way, but are baked into the price of the mini cruise. As you go through the booking stages you'll see this cost separated out so don't be surprised. I looked at a few dates and found the total cost, including the mini cruise, transfers, and the free dinners, totalling £138 for two people sharing an inside cabin, which works out as £69 per person.
This offer is valid for selected departures during February, March, April, October, November, December 2020. You need to book by 2 March 2020 to take advantage of this deal.
The dull-but-necessary small print
All deals are subject to availability and can be withdrawn by the operator without prior notice. The lead-in prices (otherwise known as the 'from' prices) are, unless otherwise stated above, based on two adults sharing the cheapest available cabin on the cheapest available date. Typically the best prices are available at the start of any promotion period so the earlier you book the better choice of sailing dates and cabin availability you should have. Mid-week sail dates are likely to be cheaper than weekend sail dates.
