This deal has expired but there are still great prices available.

Fancy a quick jolly over to Northern Ireland? Can you get to Cairnryan with relative ease? If the answer is both of these questions is 'yes' then this offer is for you.

From £15 return per person, you can enjoy a foot passenger day trip to Belfast. Yes, it will be a long day, but it can be as action-packed or as relaxed as you like.

Sail out from Cairnryan at 07.30. Choose to return at either 15.30 or 19.30 from Belfast on the same day to take advantage of the day trip pricing. The sailings typically take 2 hours and 15 minutes each way, so you have up to around 9 hours in Northern Ireland. That's plenty of time to go shopping at Victoria Square and St George's Market, or visit the Titanic Belfast or Crumlin Road Gaol attractions. Plan beforehand and you might be able to cram in several activities into the one day.

The offer is available for sailings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Surprisingly, it is also valid for Saturday sailings, so this could be a great excuse for a bit of weekend shopping.

Prices start from £15 per adult, from £7.50 per child (4-15 years old) and infants under 3 sail for free. Select the 'Economy' fare to get the best deal, although you can bolt on extras if you so choose.

This deal has expired but there are still great prices available. If you think the deal is back on again please let me know and I'll let everyone else know the good news.

The dull-but-necessary small print

All deals are subject to availability and can be withdrawn by the operator without prior notice. The lead-in prices (otherwise known as the 'from' prices) are, unless otherwise stated above, based on two adults sharing the cheapest available cabin on the cheapest available date. Typically the best prices are available at the start of any promotion period so the earlier you book the better choice of sailing dates and cabin availability you should have. Mid-week sail dates are likely to be cheaper than weekend sail dates.
