DFDS Seaways offers two choice of cabins - Seaways Class and Commodore Class. Whilst the Commodore Class is the more expensive option, it does offer many benefits the Seaways Class does not.
The Commodore Class range of cabins consists of three different types of cabin- the Commodore Class, the Commodore Plus and the Commodore De Luxe. To understand the benefits of each class, let's start with Seaways Class and work upwards.
Seaway Class
These cabins are designed for the budget conscious as well as those who don't mind going without a few creature comforts for a night. They can sleep up to 6 people in single bunk beds.
The room has an en-suite toilet/shower room and offers air conditioning and a handy wardrobe together with a table. Bedding and towels are included in the price too.
Some cabins are internal and therefore have no window whilst others do offer a sea view through a porthole window.
Commodore Class
Some people will find that bunk beds are not for them and so the Commodore Class offers the convenience and comfort of a double bed.
You get everything the Seaway Class offers as well as a television (perfect if you want to relax in the privacy of your own cabin to watch TV), room service as well as a complimentary small mini-bar and a complimentary hot buffet breakfast.
Commodore Plus
The Commodore Plus cabins offer a little more space and comfort than the Commodore Class cabins. On top of everything you get in Commodore Class, you will also get complimentary toiletries (bath soap, shampoo, body lotion and a vanity kit), a hairdryer, a flat screen TV, a telephone and a fruit basket.
Commodore De Luxe
These are the finest cabins available on a DFDS Seaways sailing. They can sleep up to 3 people and offer all the comforts of the Commodore Class but again with more space and more comforts.
Commodore De Luxe come with everything in the Commodore Class along with a DVD player, telephone, Steward service, Internet access and exclusive access into the Commodore De Luxe lounge, only available to Commodore De Luxe cabin clients.
The Commodore De Luxe lounge offers quieter surroundings than other parts of the vessel and offers a range of complimentary drinks along with a selection of newspapers, a computer work area, a TV broadcasting news channels and a selection of snacks, wine and beers.
Whichever class you choose to sail in you will be assured of a friendly and helpful service from the DFDS Seaways staff.
